Instructions for Use

Location
• Choose a stable, level surface.
• Keep a sufficient safety distance to flammable
objects such as furniture, curtains, etc.
• Do not operate the appliance under wall units.
For your Safety
• If the pressure cooker is not properly sealed, no
pressure will build up in the pot.
• The appliance has 5 safety systems:
- The float valve activates the lock pin if
enough pressure has built up. The lock pin
prevents the lid from accidentally opening
under pressure.
- The valve under the pressure regulator
releases steam in the event of excess pres-
sure.
- Three electronic safety systems regulate
the temperature.
• Before use, always check that the valves are in
a clean and defect-free condition. More infor-
mation can be found in the chapter "Cleaning".
Functions of the appliance
• The display shows the active function.
• The function keys (except for ) are blocked in
ready mode "
".
• When the appliance is switched on, pressing a
button is acknowledged by a beep.
• Always press the double-function buttons at
the outside (left or right) to activate the desired
function.
• Press the buttons one after the other without
delay. After 3 seconds, the appliance starts
heating with the set program. From this mo-
ment on, the button DELAY TIME is blocked.

• The appliance has 5 preset programs:
Rice
6 minutes
Meat
20 minutes
Vegetables
5 minutes
Soup
5 minutes
Stew
20 minutes
The specified cooking time only starts when
the required pressure has been built up
in the pot. This may vary depending on the
quantity and the properties of the food.
• You can extend the cooking time individually by
1 to 120 minutes with the TIME button. This is
possible in any cooking program within the first
minute.
• When the required pressure has been
reached, the colon flashes and countdown
of the cooking time starts.
• You can end the cooking time in any program
manually with the button KEEP WarM / CaN-
CEL. The appliance then activates the keep-
warm function.
• During cooking, excess condensate is collected
in the condensate collector.
• At the end of the cooking process, you hear
5 beeps. The display shows "0:0 0". The keep-
warm function is activated automatically for
4 hours.
• You can end any function immediately with the
button.
Capacity
• Never operate the appliance without water! The
minimum capacity is around 500 ml.
• The maximum capacity (the net capacity) is
3.2 liters (
/
MaX PC marking). For food that

foams or expands during cooking, for example
rice, beans, lentils, peas, dried vegetables, or
broth, the pot insert may be filled max. to one
half of the rated volume. This corresponds to
2.4 liters (marking at 8 CUP).
• Food which is cooked in the insert pot may not
touch the lid of the pressure cooker.
