ABonAir's AB405 can be used without specific SAR testing,
according to EN62311 and EN62479:2010 Annex B Harmonized
Standard under the R&TTE directive.
The various applicable electromagnetic field exposure limits
contain different types of exposure parameters as a function of
frequency and as a function of the type of limit reference level.
Section 7.2 of IEC/EN 62311 provides a procedure for performing
the EMF assessment.
The Transmitter Far-Field condition is satisfied if the distance
between antenna and operator is larger than the far-field
distance. The far-field distance of radiating structures depends
on the dimension of the radiating structure (D) in relation to the
wavelength of the radiated field (λ). For small Antenna with
respect to the wavelength (D≤λ) which are typically Omni-
directional, the Far-Field region is reached at a distance of one-
sixth of the wavelength (RFar Filed =λ /2π ).
At 5 GHz frequency, the Wavelength is 60 mm. The Antenna
Radiation
Element size is 20mm, hence shorter than the wavelength, hence
near filed is
