This chapter describes how to install and connect the AB405 system.
3.1

Transmitter

3.1.1

Connecting to the Camera

The Transmitter has a Lemo 2 pin connector.
To connect the camera:

Attached the Transmitter to the camera Hot Shoe.

Connect the power cable supplied D-TAP to Lemo 2 pin, one side to the camera battery (D-Tap) and the other
side (Lemo 2 pin) to the Transmitter.

Connecting Video and Audio

To connect video and Audio:
Connect the short SDI cable from the camera output to the SDI DIN connector input in the Transmitter, alternatively, you
can use the HDMI camera output and HDMI cable to connect to the Transmitter. (Only one of the 2 options should be
connected)
A green LED in the Transmitter LCD screen turns on once a valid SDI signal is present.
3.1.3

Installing the Transmitter Antennas

The system includes two 5 dBi short antennas and two 9 dBi long antennas. If you have other antennas you can use them
too. \higher gain antennas (e.g. 12 dBi antennas) provides more range but may require Antenna tilting to compensate for
elevation differences between the Receiver and Transmitter (in cases where the receiver antennas are located on a higher
location, such as on a high rooftop).
