To ease installation (wiring), emitters may be pointed in the same direction, especially when
multiple systems are perimeter guarding the same side of a machine. To prevent any mutual
interference or crosstalk, select two different emission frequencies of infrared modulated light
by using the two internal switches F1 or F2 (see figure 2-7).

The receiver R2 is not sensitive to the emission frequency F1 of the emitter E1 and its output
relays are energized if no object is breaking the beam. The receiver R1 is not sensitive to the
emission frequency F2 of the emitter E2 and its output relays are energized if no object stands
in the beam.
In some cases, mutual interferences can be cancelled by using two different emission frequencies and
by reversing the transmission direction of the through scan beams. This would be the case for a 3-beam
trip device for instance:
