Chapter 7 Troubleshooting
This chapter describes how to check the causes of trouble and what remedial steps
should be taken if the DN311 goes wrong during its operation. Also refer to the
Sequence Controller User's Manual in dealing with trouble.

7.1 At Module Start

(1) The module does not start normally (is not set in standby mode):
If the module is normal, the DN311 starts initializing the module when power is turned
on or when reset is requested, and then is set in standby mode.
Standby: MS, NS: OFF 7-Segment LED: Node address is shown lit.
Is S controller's power
supplied?
Is the DN311 mounted properly
in the base unit?
Isn't station status down mode?
Does thee module start properly if it
is combined with other S controller?
Replace the S controller.
(2) Set in down mode during communication with slave devices
Countermeasure
Replace the module. Record the down information before replacing the module (as noted on
the module front). Send the module which has run down and the down information to TOSHIBA.

Supply the primary power of the S
controller power module at the rated
voltage.
Insert it into the slot correctly and tighten
the setscrew.
Replace the module.
Read down information, and send it
together with the module to TOSHIBA.
