(E) No response to ping on
multiple servers on some but
not all IP addresses.
No response to ping on one or
more IP addresses of multiple
servers from another server
inside the system.
(F) Servers can be pinged from
other servers in the system but
not from customer connections.
Multiple servers cannot be
reached or pinged from a
customer‐connected client. The
servers can be pinged from
other servers within the
system.

N OT E: It is important that
multiple servers are exhibiting
issues with networking. If only
one server is having issues, see
symptoms C and D.
Ensure all switches have

AC power—the POWER
LED is green. If not, ensure
AC is applied by swapping
cords and AC outlets.
If the FAULT LED is

illuminated on a switch,
reset the switch by
removing and reinstalling
the AC cord.
If these steps do not

resolve the problem,
replace the switch.

: It is important that the

servers with issues can be
pinged from other servers
within the system. If there are
network issues and IP
addresses cannot be pinged
from other servers in the
system, see symptoms C, D,
and E.
This is most likely the
1
10Gbe uplink ports. Verify
the green Link LED is
illuminated for all 10G
optical ports connected to
the customer
infrastructure.
If any 10G port does not
2
have a green Link LED,
check those optical cables.
Replug the 10G optical
module.
If the issue is not resolved,
3
clean all 10G optical cables.
If this does not resolve the
4
issue, replace the switch.
