Troubleshooting

This section includes tables for "Servers" on page 32, "Servers/Switches" on page 33, and "Disk
Configurations" on page 35.

Servers

Symptom
(A) Server is not available or
cannot boot.
Server not responding to
requests from clients.
Server does not respond to
ping.
Server System Status LED
is off, blinking, or amber.
Probable Cause
Bad or no AC power to the
server.
Recommended Actions
If System Status LED is on,

proceed to symptom B.
If all server LEDS are off,

check AC cord. Verify it is
plugged in to the power
supply on the back of the
server and the PDU.
Push the Server Power

button on the front panel.
If no LEDS turn on, replace
the server.
If the System Status LED
4
turns on but is blinking or
Amber, proceed to
symptom B.
If the System Status LED
5
turns on blue (takes ~10
seconds to stop blinking
after AC power is restored)
and the server is still
unavailable, proceed to
symptom B.
