Preparing the load

For validation purposes please make sure that you follow the
loading instructions given on the template.
 Risk of injury caused by load.
There is a risk of injury when loading and unloading due to possible
sharp edges, rims or pointed ends.
To minimise the risk of injury, loading should take place from the
back forwards and unloading should take place in the reverse or-
der.
 Risk of infection due to insufficient disinfection.
Load items that become detached from the irrigation connector
during reprocessing will not be sufficiently disinfected on the in-
side.
Any items that become detached from the irrigation connector dur-
ing reprocessing must be reprocessed again.
– Check that fittings such as irrigation sleeves and injector nozzles
are securely screwed into position.
 Make sure that all screw connectors are fitted with injector
nozzles, adapters, irrigation sleeves or blind stoppers to ensure
that all fittings in use are supplied with sufficient standardised
pressure.
Damaged fittings such as injector nozzles, adapters and irrigation
sleeves must not be used.
Fittings not equipped with wash items do not have to be replaced
blind stoppers.
– Check that spray arms are rotating freely.
– Check spray arm jets for blockages.
– Check that the basket is correctly connected to the water supply in
the washer-disinfector.

Reprocessing hollow instruments

Before inserting lumened instruments, please make sure that all
hollow sections are free of blockages. Otherwise the suds solution
will not be able to access all areas properly.
Attach the lumened instruments to the nozzles.
At the end of the programme, the insides of the instruments must
be dried with sterile compressed air before being cleaned and ster-
ilised as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions. Please observe national regulations.
