3 Operating Instructions

1.
Check the fixture for completeness, as well as
visible damages such as signs of wear,
deformation, breakages, cracks, and corrosion
damage prior to each use. Check all threads for
damages and ease of operation prior to assembly.
Do not use the support when defects are noted and
discard it immediately.
2.
Carry out the necessary preparation work for the
use of the holder in accordance with the workshop
manuals.
NOTICE
Observe and follow the safety notes for work on
vehicles with gas drive.
Only qualified personnel may carry out work on
vehicles with gas drive.
3.
Place the support on the universal plate of the
engine and gearbox jack. Ensure thereby that the
safety bushing grips engage behind the front edge
of the universal plate as shown (see figure 2).

WARNING
Danger through falling of the load!
Incorrect placing of the support on the reception plate
of the engine and gearbox jack can cause falling of the
load. This could result in serious injuries and damage to
materials.
Place and secure the support exactly as shown in
point 3 and figure 2.

Place and secure the load in accordance with the
workshop manuals.

WARNING
Danger through falling of the load!
Faulty positioning and securing of the load on the
engine and gearbox jack can cause falling of the load.
This could result in serious injuries and damage to
materials.
Position load exactly as described in the workshop
manuals.
Secure the load exactly as described in the
workshop manuals.
WARNING
Crushing hazard!
Crushing hazard exists between the load, the engine
and gearbox jack, and/or the vehicle through movement
of the load.
Position hands and feet in such a manner that
crushing hazards does not exist when moving the
engine and gearbox unit.
5.
Carry out further work as described in the
workshop manuals.
6.
Ensure that all parts of the special tool have been
removed after completing the repair work.
