ENGINE LACKS POWER
Possible Cause
Air filter restricted.
Bad fuel, generator stored without
treating or draining gasoline, or
refueled with bad gasoline.
Fuel filter restricted, fuel system
malfunction, fuel pump failure,
ignition malfunction, valves stuck,
etc.
NO POWER AT THE AC RECEPTACLES
Possible Cause
OUTPUT indicator is OFF, and
OVERLOAD ALARM indicator is ON.
AC Circuit protector(s) tripped.
GFCI system activated.
Faulty power tool or appliance.
Faulty generator.

Correction
Clean or replace air filter (see pages 48,
78).
Drain fuel tank (see page 89).
Refuel with fresh gasoline (see
page 20).
Take the generator to an authorized
Honda Power Equipment dealer, or
refer to the shop manual.
Correction
Check AC load. Stop and restart the
engine.
Check the cooling air inlet. Stop and
restart the engine.
Check AC load and reset AC circuit
protector(s) (see page 30).
• GFCI receptacle
(120 V 20 A duplex receptacle): Test
GFCI and press the GFCI RESET
button (see page 57).
• Replace or repair power tool or
