There are many different types of windows. The one you choose depends
on your application.
Figure 6-4 illustrates a window applied to a single waveform record. The
record contains about 1.25 cycles of the sine wave.

Figure 6-5 illustrates two cycles of the windowed waveform, with the
discontinuity between records is no longer present.
