Before the First Use

1.1

Introduction

Please read the instructions carefully before the first use. Please note the safety recommendations in particular.
Failure to follow them can cause severe injuries and damage. Please ensure that your employees who work with
the CBS have been instructed using these operating instructions. These operating instructions should always be
available for reference.
1.2

Liability

Spring International GmbH assumes no liability for injuries or damage arising from improper use or failure to follow
the safety recommendations.

Proper Use

The CBS may be operated only by competent persons who are aware of the consequences of all misuse mentioned
in these instructions and can understand the safety recommendations. Children may operate the appliance only
under supervision.
2.1

Intended Purpose

The CBS is intended for serving food and keeping it hot (max. 90ºC).
2.2

Known Misuse

The following inappropriate uses are dangerous and therefore prohibited for reasons of safety:
• Do not use the CBS for cooking, as it could be damaged.
• Transport of the full and/or hot chafing dish: Hot water, spilling or dropping can cause scalding. In addition, the
use of fuel paste for heating can cause a fire if the contents of the burner are spilled.
• Self-installed wind shields or protection (e.g. aluminium foil): heat build-up and danger of fire.
• Use of inappropriate heat sources e.g. induction burners in cooking mode instead of warming mode! Danger of
scalding and/or fire!
• Flambéing, cooking, or preparing food. Overheating, material damage, and discoloration!
• Operating the chafing dish without water leads to extreme overheating. Danger of burns and damage to the chafing
dish.
