Removal
NOTE:
Start this procedure only when the engine is cold. Wait at least 30 minutes after
switching off the engine.
1. Set the parking brake and chock the tires.
To avoid injury before starting and running the engine,
ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, parking
brake is set, and the wheels are blocked.
2. Remove the cylinder head cover. Refer to the MBE 4000 Service Manual (6SE420,
Engine Chapter.
3. Adjust the valve lash. Refer to the MBE 4000 Service Manual (6SE420, Engine Tune-up
Chapter.
NOTE:
To do this procedure, coolant temperature must be between 70-95°C (158-203°F).
