Fundamental safety precautions

For safe use of the device, observe the following fundamental
safety precautions and the precautions described separately in
the individual sections:
Inspect the device for visible signs of damage before use. Do

not use a damaged device.
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the

device.
Keep the device out of the reach of children.

Do not operate the device for prolonged periods without su-

pervision.
Only use the device in connection with the base plate sup-
■
plied.
Persons who due to their physical, mental or motor response

abilities are unable to operate the device may only use the de-
vice under supervision or instruction by a responsible person.
Never immerse the device, the mains cable or the mains plug
■
in water or other liquids.
Do not pull the cable to remove the plug from the mains so-
■
cket.
Repairs to the machine may only be carried out by the spe-
■
cialist retailer or by the works after-sales service. Unqualified
repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. They will
also void the warranty.
Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be
■
carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer
as the warranty will otherwise be voided in the event of dama-
ge or subsequent damage.
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts.
■
Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety require-
ments are met.
