Reducing the working depth
Turn the handwheel "Working Depth Adjustment" to the right
(One turn = 1.5 mm working depth)
3. Scarifying test:
Start the machine.
Push the adjusting lever to the working position
Push the machine slowly in the working direction.
If there is a noise of stones being thrown up or if the cutters
become blocked
z Switch the machine off immediately.
z Turn the handwheel "Working Depth Adjustment" to the
right by 2-3 turns
z Carry out the scarifying test again.
Starting/Stopping

Caution! Rotating blades
Working / settings only to be carried out on the machine with
the engine switched off and with the working tools at a
standstill.
z Only start the engine when your feet are at a safe
distance from the working tools.
z Start the engine on flat ground, if possible not in long
grass.

Maintenance

Caution! Rotating blades
Before all maintenance and cleaning tasks:
z Remove the sparking plug lead.
z Take care not to grab running cutters.
z For safety reasons, replace any worn or damaged parts.
When replacing, follow the instructions for installation
z Check all the visible fastening bolts and nuts regularly to be
sure they are snug and tighten them.
z Only use spare parts made by WOLF-Garten; otherwise you
do not have a guarantee that your scarifi er meets safety
regulations.
Cleaning
z Always clean the scarifier after each use with a handbrush.
z Never spray the scarifier with water.
z Turn the scarifier on its side in accordance with the illustration
K

Changing the engine oil

Notes:
z Change the oil for the first time after 20 operating hours.
z Then change the oil every 100 operating hours, at the
end of the scarifying season at the latest.
z When using the machine in very heavy applications or in
dusty conditions, the oil should be changed more often.
z The oil should be drained when the engine is hot and the
fuel tank is empty.

Cold start
1. Pull the adjusting lever to the transport position backwards

2. Open gas cock.
3. Pull the "Choke" back

4. Lift the safety lever and hold in position
5. Pull the starter handle and let it return slowly
6. Push the choke back as soon as the engine has warmed up

7. Push the adjusting lever to the working position
Hot start
1. Pull the adjusting lever to the transport position backwards

3. Pull the starter handle and let it return slowly
4. Push the adjusting lever to the working position
Stopping the engine
1. Release the safety lever
2. Push the adjusting lever to the transport position
1. Open the oil filling spout.
2. Tilt the scarifier slowly to the front and allow the oil to flow into
a suitable container.
3. Close the oil filling spout again.
z Please dispose of the old oil in accordance with the local
regulations.
z Old oil must not be allowed to enter the ground and must not
be disposed of in the household waste.
Tilling blade wear
In order to compensate for signifi cantly worn tilling blades
the tilling depth can be increased.

Caution! Sharp blades and springs.
Protective gloves are to be worn for this work.
1. Set the change lever in work/tilling) position
2. Jack the tiller up as shown in ill
3. Using two open-jawed 13 mm spanners, loosen the front hex.

4. Turn the front hex. nut until it is fl ush with the end of the
threaded bolt
5. Firmly tighten the rear hex. nut against the front hex. nut

The blades must be replaced when the wear has
reached the wear mark
Storage in winter
z Drain the fuel tank.
z Drain the carburettor.
This can be done by starting the engine and allowing it to
run until it stops of its own accord.
z Clean the scarifier thoroughly.
z Change the oil.
z Preserve the engine:
