Barge-In
Barge-in is available for SCAs in the active state. Pressing the left soft key initiates an outgoing
call to the remote end which the BroadWorks server handles by effectively creating a conference
call between the participants in the original call and the handset that barges in.
Note:
The LED for the active SCA changes color from red to green in the process because the
handset goes from not participating in the call to be a participant.
Retrieve
Retrieve is available for SCAs in the held state. Pressing the left soft key initiates an outgoing call
to the remote end which the BroadWorks server handles by effectively transferring the call from
the other local handset to the handset that performed the retrieve.
The key feature provided by SCA here is that it makes it possible to transfer calls from other
members of the SCA group to this particular handset, instead of only the other way around.
