2. Upper Reading Unit
1) Remove the entire upper unit.

2) Insert a tool with a thin and flat tip into two
holes 1 , unhook the fitting parts, and
remove the reading unit.
Note: When removing the reading unit, pull it
up and remove it with the fitting parts on
both sides unhooked so that the unit is
not tilted.

Notes on assembling
If the reading unit is tilted when installing it,
the springs for raising and lowering the
unit may not be assembled correctly.
Place it in a horizontal position and as-
semble the right and left sides at the same
time.
After assembling the reading unit, verify
that the reading unit moves smoothly, and
if it does not, assemble again.
Do not get FPC caught when assembling
the reading unit. Insert the FPC
tween the guide plates
