    Mounting the Speakers / Wall and Ceiling Installation The speakers may only be mounted by qualified event technicians or personnel which are instructed by them, adequately. This also applies for wall and ceiling fixations. The technicians responsible for assembling the speakers on site are responsible for the safe setup and use of the speakers and guarantee the safe use of the mounting elements.

    Temporary alignment of the speakers Loosen the hexagon socket screws with a 3 mm hexagon socket wrench. Loosen one or two of the three hexagon socket srews only. This way you can avoid having to tighten an hexagon socket screw that got covered by the Mounting Arm while you aligned the speaker.

    Wall Mounting of the Speaker If people can move freely under the hung speaker, you must secure the speaker with a safety element. The BGV (government safety organisation) C1 can only be fulfilled when using such a safety device. Only when this regulation has been adhered to may the speaker be hung over people and operated.

    7. Stand Installation To mount a SONA 8 speaker on a stand, you need the accessory [Stand socket M10]. For stand mounting, you do not need the provided long nuts. Unscrew them from the mounting arm and keep them for possible later use.

    Make sure that the stand pole in the stand adapter reaches up to behind the clamp screw. Tighten the clamping screw. The speaker is now securely connected to the stand. Now adjust the speaker.     Wiring instructions • Before connecting your SONA 8 loudspeaker switch off all equipment and turn down all level controls. • Only use high-quality speaker cables with a sufficient wire gauge. The wire gauge depends on the length of the speaker cable.

    Switch off all equipment and turn down all level controls of the mixing console and the power amplifiers. • Wire the SONA 8 systems. • Switch on the mixing console first, then the controller and the power amplifier. Always use the before mentioned switching order. Otherwise switching noises may damage the sound system.
