(the NanoSync HD can directly acquire MTC from the main unit over a USB connection). However,
the precision of MTC is lower than that of SMPTE time codes (LTC), which can cause sync
accuracy problems. The SyncStation can sync with even more precise frame-level precision,
resulting in a clear difference in the amount of time needed for a video machine to lock on during
editing. This is a key feature for stress-free editing.

Installing the SyncStation

The SyncStation is a "fanless" machine, so it can be installed and used in the editing room (settings
can be set remotely using NUENDO). Because it connects to the computer via a USB cable, it can be
placed anywhere the cable can reach. In case if the SyncStation is going to be installed in a machine
room, look into using a USB extender.
The SyncStation uses an external AC adaptor, and its DC connector does not have a latch, so it can
easily be pulled out. Run your wiring in such a way that it won't be pulled out easily.
