Installing Batteries

Remove the battery cover located on the back side of the
device by sliding it in the direction indicated by the ar-
row.
Insert four AAA alkaline batteries as shown in the illus-
tration. When inserting the batteries, take careful note of
the polarity markings and install properly.

G Low Battery Display

When battery power is low, the low battery icon will ap-
pear in the display. When this icon appears, replace the
batteries with a fresh set as soon as possible. A backup
function protects program data and other data (except for
any data that is currently being edited) from loss even if
the batteries are removed.

* Make sure you remove depleted batteries from the ST5. If
depleted batteries are left in place, damage (leaking batter-
ies, etc.) may result. Also, remove the batteries from the ST5
if the device is not going to be used for an extended period of
time.
