Pressing Tab 1, Tab 2 or Tab 3 opens "Enter
offset for Tab 1 and press SAVE key"
screen. If any Tab n (Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3) soft
keys are selected, you will be asked to enter
Offset Value for Tab Number you selected.
NOTE: Number of Tab n choices presented is
based on "# Tabs" and "Tab Placement"
(Separate, Together), previously selected.
If "# Tabs" was set to 1 or tab placement "Together" was selected; you will be prompted to
"Enter Offset for Tab 1", as soon you press Position key.
Enter desired Offset Value for Tab, using numeric keypad. Then press SAVE key.
Press BACK. Repeat this process for each tab position.
TAB POSITION IS BASED ON PLACEMENT OF THE BEGINNING OF TAB
WITH RESPECT TO LEAD EDGE OF THE PIECE. WHEN PLACING TABS,
LENGTH OF THE TAB IS NOT CALCULATED.
Set Pitch – Pitch is very important. Pitch setting
is how software determines how far to advance
tab. When Pitch soft key is pressed, display
prompts you to "Enter Tab Pitch and press
SAVE key".
Pitch = Distance measured from top of one
tab to top of next tab. Select Pitch from
"Select option to edit" screen. Measure
distance from top of one tab to top of next
tab, (in this example, it was 1.125"). Add
0.01" for a total of 1.135". Enter that number
using number keys on Control Panel. Then
press SAVE key.
BACK – Returns to previous screen.
