Overview The ATEN VE3912T is an HDBaseT transmitter that extends 4K DisplayPort, HDMI, or VGA video signals up to 100m over a single Cat 6/6a or ATEN 2L- 2910 Cat 6 cable. 5. (Optional) To receive IR signals to remotely control a device (e.g. blu-ray disc) connected to the video receiver, connect an IR emitter to the VE3912T’s IR Port and an IR receiver to the VE2812R’s IR Port or vice versa.
You can set the VE3912T to either bypass serial data or to receive RS-232 commands. By default, the VE3912T is set to receive serial data. To set the unit to bypass RS-232 commands, press the Input Switch pushbutton for 3 seconds.
