Using the Printer via a LAN Cable
IMPORTANT
• Connection to a corporate LAN must be made by a network administrator.
• If several printers will be connected to the same network, configure the printers one at a time. If several printers
are turned on and configured at once, the default IP address assigned to each printer will overlap and will
prevent the use of the network.

Check that the printer is powered on.

Start the computer, and log on to the computer as a user with administrative privileges.
IMPORTANT
• Log on to the computer as a user with administrative privileges.
• Terminate in advance the virus detection program and other programs resident in the system, if any.

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into CD-ROM drive.

NOTE
• If [Auto Play] screen does not appear:
Carry out the following operations:

1. Insert the supplied "Printer Software CD-
ROM" into CD-ROM drive.
[Auto Play] screen appears.
2. Click [Run autoplay.exe].
If [User Account Control] dialog box appears,
click [Yes].
