Problem
The LED does not light up after:
• inserting the batteries or
• pressing the Programming
button.
Wind Sensor does not function.
Awning closes every 15 minutes,
without windy conditions.
Awning closes every 60 minutes,
without windy conditions.
Awning closes automatically during
light winds.
Awning does not automatically
close during strong winds.
Awning does not close in during
windy conditions even with the
sensitivity set to 1.
Awning closes but will not open.
Cause
The batteries may be incorrectly
fitted or, the batteries may not
work.
Check the magnet in Figure 1.
The batteries are low.
The Wind Sensor may have been
removed from the Awning.
The Wind Sensor may be
incorrectly inserted into the
Mounting Plate.
Incorrect battery placement.
The Sensitivity is adjusted to a
lower number than needed.
The Sensitivity is adjusted to a
higher number than needed.
The strong winds do not create
strong up and down movement of
the Front Bar of the Awning.
Check the Motor direction by
pressing the up arrow on the
Remote Transmitter.
Check location of Wind Sensor
The batteries may be dead.
The Wind Sensor may have been
removed from Motor memory.
Check Motor using the Remote.
5
Action
1. Review the polarity of the
batteries and the direction in
which they are installed.
2. Try fresh new batteries.
Ensure the magnet is in place.
Replace the batteries.
Delete the Wind Sensor from the
Motor's memory, see Page 4.
Remove the Sensor from the
Mounting Plate, then engage the
Sensor back into the Mounting
Plate by sliding it from left to right.
Remove the Wind Sensor from
the Mounting Plate. Remove the
Sensor from the Housing and set
the Sensitivity Potentiometer
to one number higher than the
current setting. For example, if
the dial is set to 2, set it to 3. See
Figure 7.
Remove the Wind Sensor from
the Mounting Plate. Remove the
Sensor from the Housing and set
the Sensitivity Potentiometer
to one number lower than the
current setting. For example, if the
dial is set to 2, set it to 1. Do not
set it to zero (0). See Figure 7.
If the Front Bar does not move up
and down very much, the Awning
may not need to close.
If the Motor rotation is incorrect,
the Wind Sensor will open the
Awning when it should close it.
See Appendix A (for RTS Motor
with mechanical settings) or B
(for Sunea Motor) to change the
direction.
See Step 3 for detailed location.
Replace Batteries.
Repeat Step 6 and test the Wind
Sensor.
Wait for 1 minute time-out period.

Questions and answers
My shade closes when it isnt windy
The SunSetter Wireless Wind Sensor may cause the shade to close when it isn't windy due to its sensitivity settings or improper installation. The sensor detects up-and-down movement, and if it is too sensitive, minor vibrations or movements (such as from passing traffic or slight structural shifts) could trigger it. Adjusting the potentiometer or sensitivity adjuster may help reduce false activations. Additionally, ensure the sensor is securely mounted in the correct position to prevent unintended triggers.
