Step 1 Checking the Package Contents
Make sure you have received the following
items in the package. If any of these items
are missing or damaged, contact the Uniden
Parts Department.
Note: Your handset comes with the battery
already connected. You must activate the
handset. Please see the instructions below.
• Base unit • Beltclip
• Handset • This Owner's Manual
• AC adapter • Other Printed Material
• Telephone cord

Step 2 Activate the Handset Before Charging the Battery
Before charging the
battery, push the
pin located on the
A
bottom of the
handset to activate
(see label with
instructions).

Peel off the label.

Plug the AC adapter cord into the
C
base unit and then into a 120V
AC outlet.
Place the handset in the base and
D
charge continuously for 15 - 20 hours
before using the phone.
Step 3 Connect to Phone Line
When the handset battery pack is fully
charged, after 15-20 hours of charging, plug
the telephone cord into the base unit and
then into a telephone wall jack.
Your phone is set for tone dialing. If your
local network requires pulse dialing, please
see "Choosing the dialing mode" on page 17.
Step 4 Setting Display Options
Note: Three Caller ID options are available: AutoTalk,
Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW), and Area Code.
TO SET CALLER ID, LANGUAGE AND DIALING OPTIONS

Press and hold the cid/menu key.
Press the vol/+ or vol/- key to move

the pointer to an option.
Press select to change the
C
option setting.
Press end to exit, and return the
D
handset to the base.
