HORSCH Connecting the Hydraulic System Leaking out hydraulic fluid can cause serious injuries! Danger of injuring by unwanted machine movements. Connect the hydraulic lines only when the hydraulics have been depressurized on both the machine and the tractor. In the event of an injury, seek medical attention immediately! Hydraulic lines are identified by colored hose handles to avoid mixing up by mistake.
HORSCH Service and Maintenance Ensure that regular tests and inspections are always carried out to schedule, as specified in the • operating instructions. • Prior to performing maintenance and servicing work, ensure that the machine is positioned on firm, level ground and that it is properly secured against rolling away.
HORSCH In Operation Check the area around the machine (for children!) before setting off and starting operation of the • machine. Ensure sufficient visibility! • Stay clear of the operating range of hydraulically operated parts. • Passengers are not allowed to ride on the machine during operation! Transport/Installation There is higher danger of accident during initial installation.
HORSCH Transport Depending on country specific regulations and working width, the equipment can be transported on public roads, either attached to a tractor or on a trailer or low loader. The permissible dimensions and weights for transport must be complied with.
HORSCH Hydraulic Function Accidental hydraulic movements (e.g. caused by passengers or children) can lead to severe accidents and injuries! Secure or lock the control units on the tractor. Instruct persons to leave the pivoting range/areas of foldable machine parts. When operating hydraulic components, slow down the control unit before the machine components reach the limit stop.

HORSCH NOTE: ALWAYS ADD/REMOVE SHIMS FROM THE REARWARD SIDE OF THE STACK ON THE FRONT HITCH CYLINDER. DO NOT REMOVE SHIMS FROM THE FRONT SIDE OR FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE STACK TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CYLINDER! ALWAYS SECURE SHIMS...
HORSCH Gauge Wheels The gauge wheels keep the machine steady and maintain the working depth in the ground. The wheels only have a sensing and supporting function. They are not designed as load bearing transport wheels. The gauge wheel can be set, but not until after the depth setting has been completed.
NOTE: Replace any damaged or broken springs or other components immediately. For a complete list of serviceable items, see Omnis FT Parts Catalog, or your nearest authorized HORSCH dealer. Picture to right indicates an assembled coulter unit with spring installed and pre-load set to the minimum setting, (8-3/4”).
HORSCH Disc Levelers The machine may be outfitted with a Disc Leveling system as an optional rear finishing attachment. Lower the rear Disc Leveling system using the hydraulic circuit of the tractor. HINT: The disc leveling system may be operated in a float position if desired, or with the levelers all the way up.
HORSCH *Illustration may not depict the correct disc leveler. Illustration is for reference only. Notes on cleaning: The mechanical seals of the disc hubs are very sensitive. If water has entered them and the machine is then parked over a longer period of time, damage may occur.
HORSCH Tine Harrow The machine may be outfitted with a spring tooth tine harrow as an optional rear finishing attachment. The tine harrow is used to smooth and level the ground as well as loosen it after it has been plowed and packed.
HORSCH Leveling: The harrow can be adjusted for level at any time if necessary by using the supplied turnbuckles on each section (two per section). The harrows are leveled from the factory but if further adjustment is desired simply turn the adjusting rod of the turnbuckle by hand to obtain level. Turning clockwise will shorten the rod, lifting that side of the harrow.
