Focusing the Camera

Two people are needed to complete this portion of the install. One person will need to
work with the installed camera to make the necessary focus adjustments while another
person assists with focusing by looking at the images through the Earth Networks
HDCam Viewer Page (http:// 'your camera ip address') on a computer on the same
network.
Open the camera housing. Inside there are two adjustments on the camera. The
adjustment located closest to the front of the lens is the Lens Focus Adjustment. The
adjustment located closest to the camera is the Lens Zoom Adjustment.
1. Unscrew both lens adjustment knobs.
2. Facing the back of the camera, turn both lens dials counterclockwise until they
stop.
3. Then move the Lens Zoom clockwise until the person watching the image
says it is zoomed in or zoomed out as much as desired on the center of the
view you wish to capture.
4. In order to make the image clear, move the Lens Focus Adjustment clockwise
until the desired clarity is reached. This adjustment is very sensitive. To fine
focus the camera, only the smallest adjustment is needed.
5. Tighten both lens adjustment knobs in order to lock in your desired settings.
6. Once the camera is focused, if the image is blurry on one side try rotating the
actual lens until the image is crisp from one side to the other.
