    Keysight E5072A Network Analyzer Troubleshooting Guide Troubleshooting This chapter provides the procedure to isolate a faulty assembly in the E5072A. Introduction These servicing instructions are for use by qualified personnel only. To avoid possible electrical shock, do not perform any servicing unless you are qualified to do so.

    Power On Self Test Power-on self-test always takes place once the E5072A is turned on. When a failure is detected, a message "Power on self test failed" is displayed. The content of the power-on self-test is the same as a part of the diagnostic test program and includes the DC power supply voltage, source PLL synthesizer and level controller (ALC) tests.

    Do not operate front panel keys, keyboard and mouse during the diagnostic test. Changing the instrument settings while the diagnostic test is in progress will cause incorrect test results. Step 1. Connect a mouse and an external keyboard to the E5072A’s rear panel connector. Step 2. Press key.
