MODEL UC-24R AND UC-24RO EXTERIOR COSMETIC AND MECHANICAL COMPONENTS
Kickplate (Models UC-24R, UC-24RO)
To remove the kickplate, extract the mounting screws
located at each end of the kickplate and pull the kick-
plate forward. (See Figure 7-62)
Door Closer (Models UC-24R, UC-24RO)
NOTE: If removing a model UC-24C from its installa-
tion, an anti-tip bracket and a countertop bracket may
have been used to make a solid installation.
To remove the door closer, pull unit approximately 6"
out from its installation, then
1. Extract door closer mounting screws from side of
unit base.
2. Slide door closer down off of bottom door hinge pin.
NOTE: It may be necessary to lean the unit back
slightly to create enough clearance between the
hinge pin and the floor.
NOTE: When reinstalling a door closer:
• Slots in the door closer cam must line-up with the
ribs on the hinge pin.
• Cams may be in "full-closed position" or "full -open
position." It is recommended to install a door clos-
er onto the hinge pin with the door closed and the
cams in the "full-open position." Then, after the
door closer is on the hinge pin, rotate the door clos-
er to the closed position and install the screws.
Light Switch and Switch Bracket
(Models UC-24R, UC-24RO)
The light switch is inserted through the upper hole in
the switch bracket and tabs on the sides of the switch
hold the switch in place. The switch bracket is attached
to the bottom of the cabinet with screws.
To remove the switch and switch bracket
64):
1. Extract switch bracket mounting screws.
2. Pull bracket down, then rotate back to front.
3. Disconnect electrical leads from switch.
4. Depress tabs on side of switch while pushing switch
out of switch bracket.
