Troubleshooting
Problem
Sprayer sprays with poor results
Battery is discharged but charger still
displays green light when battery is
inserted.
Battery does not last long.
Prime/relief valve is moving and
making a popping noise while spraying.
Pump keeps losing prime.

Cause
Tip is partially clogged
Tip filter is partially clogged or dam-
aged.
Material being sprayed is aerated
because it was shaken.
Material being sprayed is too cold to
spray.
Pressure adjustment is not set cor-
rectly.
Material being sprayed is too thick.
Incorrect tip for application of material.
Tip is worn or damaged.
Tip is not in correct position.
Inlet or outlet valves are worn.
Prime/Pressure Relief valve is worn
out.
Accumulator is frozen and not function-
ing properly.
Damaged battery.
Battery life varies with material, tip size,
pressure, and speed setting.
Tip is clogged.
Pressure is too high
Front valve housing is clogged.
Tip is not in correct position.
Accumulator is frozen and not function-
ing properly.
Air is getting into the bag system
Material is too thick.
Prime/Pressure Relief valve is not
properly sealed.
Solution

Assembly, page 19.
Clean or replace filter. See page 18.
Do NOT shake material. Stir the mate-
rial or check the manufacturer's recom-
mendation for the material being
sprayed.
Warm material.
Readjust pressure setting. See Setting
Pressure, page 15.
Thin material with proper reducer rec-
ommended by material manufacturer.
Change tip size.
Replace tip.
Rotate tip to SPRAY position.
See Repair manual.
Replace Prime/Pressure Relief valve.
Check to see if accumulator moves
when spraying. If frozen, replace accu-
mulator.
Replace battery.
See Charging the Battery, page 12.
Unclog tip.
Turn pressure control knob counter-
clockwise.
Increase tip size.
Remove front valve housing and clean.
Rotate Tip to SPRAY position.
Check to see if accumulator moves
when spraying. If frozen, replace accu-
mulator.
Ensure lid is tight.
Ensure liner is not pinched and creating
an air leak path.
Change lid and liner. Retry.
Properly mix material to shear thin the
material.
Warm up material to reduce viscosity.
Thin material with proper reducing
agent.
Make sure Prime/Pressure Relief valve
is fully assembled with thread sealant
applied to threads.
