4.1 Pre-Startup Checklist

Table 4-1 describes the items to be checked before you start the UPS.

4.2 Starting the UPS

4.2.1 Starting the UPS in Normal Mode

To start the UPS in normal mode, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Switch on the battery breaker.
Step 2 Connect the UPS to the power grid.

Check Item
AC power cable colors comply with electrical regulations.
Cables are securely connected.
Battery cables connect to correct battery terminals in the correct order. The
battery voltage complies with the requirements in appendix A "Technical
Specifications."
Correct labels are attached to power cables.
Cables are neatly routed and securely bound.
Devices are installed and cables are routed in ways that facilitate modification,
capacity expansion, and maintenance.
Ground cables are properly connected.
The voltage between the neutral wire and the ground cable is less than 5 V AC.
Ensure the ground resistance of the UPS shell is less than 0.1ohm.
