Laser beamer in use
The leading beam of the laser beamer makes sawing in straight lines much easier:
a) Along a drawn line, or
b) By aligning it to a fixed point marked on the workpiece.
The range of the laser beam, depending on the environmental light, is about 65 cm.
Replacing batteries

• Lock the machine in its highest position
• Unscrew the screw and remove the cover.
• Replace the batteries with new ones. You will need 2 x 1.5 V "Micro/AAA" batteries.
• Never dispose of old/empty batteries with the household refuse, but deposit them
instead at special collection point for batteries or chemical refuse.
• When inserting the batteries, ensure that the +/- terminals are correctly placed, as
shown inside the battery compartment.
• Check that the laser beamer is properly closed by carefully opening the lid straight
upwards. If the lid opens up, repeat the closing procedure, until the lid stays properly
closed.
Adjusting the laser beam
• Transport handling and heavy use can affect the precision of the laser beam.
• The laser beam itself can be easily adjusted.
• Hold the blade of the jig saw against a straightedge or perfectly straight plank.
• Switch the laser on.
• Check whether the laser beam runs parallel along the edge of the straightedge or plank.
If the laser beam is out of alignment, proceed as follows:
• Loosen the two screws on the front side of the laser a few turns.
• Hold the blade of the jig saw against a straightedge or perfectly straight plank.
• Correct the laser such that it runs dead straight along the edge.
• Again tighten the two screws.

4. OPERATION

Press the switch in to put the jigsaw into operation. The switch can be interlocked with the
interlocking knob. This is done as follows:
A. Press the switch in.
B. Keep the switch pressed in and press the interlocking knob in.
The jigsaw will now continue to run.
Release the interlocking by pressing the switch in again.

The speed of the saw blade can be controlled with the rotary knob at the top of the jigsaw. The

• Encienda la sierra de vaivén.
• Ponga la placa inferior del equipo sobre la pieza de trabajo.
• Mueva lentamente hacia la línea de corte previamente marcada y presione la sierra de
calar hacia delante lentamente.
• Presione la placa inferior firmemente contra la pieza de trabajo. Si no lo hace así, es
posible que la sierra vibre e incluso que la hoja de corte se rompa.
Deje que la sierra haga el trabajo. No presione con demasiada fuerza la sierra de
calar.
Guía paralela a la hoja de corte

Si desea hacer un corte que corra paralelo al borde de la tabla, utilice la guía paralela a la hoja
de corte suministrada. Haga lo siguiente:
• Afloje los tornillos de la cabecera en la parte frontal de la placa inferior.
• Deslice la guía paralela de la hoja por las aperturas que hay en el lateral de la placa inferior.
• Determine la distancia entre el corte de la hoja y el lateral de la pieza de trabajo.
• Asegure la guía a esta distancia con los tornillos de la cabecera. Si la distancia requerida
entre el corte de la hoja y el lateral es 5 cm, ponga el indicador en '5' en la guía exactamente
sobre la hoja de corte.
• Apriete los tornillos de la cabecera nuevamente.

Si la posición inicial de la pieza de trabajo a cortar no es el lateral o si no se ha taladrado ningún
agujero, deberá hacer un corte interno. Para ello, proceda de la siguiente manera:
• Ponga la hoja sobre el frontal redondeado de la placa inferior.
• Encienda el equipo y baje lentamente la hoja hasta que toque la pieza de trabajo.
• Deje que la hoja corte la pieza suavemente sin forzarla.
• Cuando haya terminado con la pieza de trabajo, quite la hoja del agujero.
• Ponga el equipo en posición normal en el agujero aserrado y continúe con el corte.
También puede cortar taladrando primero un agujero en la pieza de trabajo. Para hacerlo,
utilice una broca que haga un agujero suficientemente grande para que entre la hoja de corte.
Ahora ya puede llevar a cabo los pasos indicados en la sección 'Aserrado'.

5. MANTENIMIENTO

Durante el mantenimiento y la limpieza quite siempre el enchufe de red de la toma
de corriente.
Haga frecuentes trabajos de mantenimiento para evitar problemas innecesarios. Esto
garantizará que el equipo esté siempre en condiciones óptimas.
