These firebricks should be fitted for
summer time cooking only and
removed in wintertime to allow more
heat from the fire to the water
heating.
Many users are unaware of this and
leave the firebricks permanently in
situ.
Scale build up behind them and makes
the removal very time consuming and
difficult, if you encounter this
situation, take great care not to
damage the boiler during the removal
process.
