Using the Self-Propel Drive

To operate the self-propel drive, squeeze the
self-propel drive bar toward the handle and hold it in
place
(Figure
18).

To disengage the self-propel drive, release the
self-propel-drive bar.

Shutting Off the Engine

Release the Blade-brake clutch control and self-propel
drive bars. Move the engine speed controller to the
stop position to shut off the engine.
Important:
When you release the blade control
bar, the blade should stop within 3 seconds. If it
does not stop properly, stop using your machine
immediately and contact an Authorized Service
Dealer.

Bagging the Clippings

Install the grass bag to collect grass and leaf clippings
from the lawn.
WARNING
A worn grass bag could allow debris to be
thrown and result in serious personal injury
or death to the operator or bystanders.
Check the grass bag frequently. If it is
damaged, install a new Toro replacement bag.
WARNING
The blade is sharp; contacting the blade can
result in serious personal injury.
Shut off the engine and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
