3.5 Logging in to the System

This topic describes how to log in to theUA5000 and then commission the UA5000 through the
maintenance terminal.

3.5.1 Login in the Local Serial Port Mode

Generally, when you need to maintain, manage, and operate the device at the local end, you can
log in to the system through the serial port.

After any input of the power supply is disconnected, the heat exchanger finishes reset self-
check and the alarm LED turns on, but the heat exchanger works in the normal state.
After the power is restored, the alarm LED of the heat exchanger turns off, and the system
recovers.
A commissioning terminal, generally a portable computer with a HyperTerminal
application and that can be connected to the UA5000 through the serial port cable must be
available.
An RS-232 serial port cable (one end with an RJ45 connector and the other end with a DB-9
or DB-25 female connector) must be available.
