Property
Description
List of available access point SSID scanned by FW controller.
From the drop down menu, choose 1 SSID for the FW to connect that particular SSID.
SSID
Manual entry of preferred wifi SSID is supported to enable you to connect to a hidden
SSID. . Click the Add button and manually enter the SSID ID name and authentication
option.
Selected SSID password entry for authentication.
Password is case sensitive.
To verify the input password is correct, toggle the hidden icon.
Password
FW series controller only support WPA2 Personal with AES authentication at the time
of document.
FW Series supports any combination of password up to 32 characters.
This property displays connected(selected SSID) SSID for the FW.
Once the connection is establish the signal strength will show.
Value is in percentage. A good signal strength is 65% and above.
A signal strength lower than 65% can cause Wi-Fi connection stability.
Signal Strength ratings are as below.
Any signal below -80bDm is consider zero signal.
Saved SSID
100% = -40dBm
74% = -51dBm
50% = -61dBm
24%
= -72dBm
5%
= -82dBm
0%
= -80dBm
This property display the status of the SSID connection.
Connected (Green) : The FW has successfully connected to the Saved SSID.
Status
Connecting (Red)
If the status remain connecting please verify if the SSID is available.
If SSID is available make sure password is enter correctly.
: The FW is trying to connect to the saved SSID.
