MINOR MAINTENANCE TIPS

REAR BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ADJUSTMENTS

The brake light glows once you press the brake
pedal. If brake light is not glowing, check the
brake light switch wire connection, bent/broken
switch spring and connection with brake pedal.
If above are o.k., then do the adjustments as
mentioned below:
T ighten / loo sen the
adjus ting nut o n the
brake light switch such
that the br ake lam p
comes on when the pedal
is depressed by 25 mm.
DRIVE CHAIN TENSION (Free Play 25-30mm)
Place motorcycle on its center stand on a firm &
flat surface.
Measure the drive chain free play on the top run
of the chain.
The recommended free play is 25 to 30 mm.
Adjustment nut

Drive chain slack
adjusting nut
Index mark
Swing arm reference mark
