5.5 Setting Baud Rate

To set the baud rate for the MS/TP network on Port 1,
configure the board for a baud rate of 19.2K by set-
ting DIP switch #4 to "OFF" and #5 to "ON". See
chart in Figure 22 for baud rate settings.
Note: Changes to the DIP switches are acknowl-
edged only after the control board has been power
cycled.

5.6 Terminating Resistors

Higher baud rates can be used over shorter dis-
tances. The maximum rate of 76.8K can be used for
distances up to 2000' (609m). Terminating resistors
are required for 76.8K. The resistors are installed on
the first and last control board on the network chain.

38.4K can be used without terminating resistors.
