How to clean connectors
Keysight 81490A Reference Transmitter Module User's Guide, Edition 3.0
Use a dry and very soft cotton tissue to clean the
instrument housing and the keypad. Do not open the
instruments as there is a danger of electric shock, or
electrostatic discharge. Opening the instrument can cause
damage to sensitive components, and in addition your
warranty will be voided.
Light dirt
If you just want to clean away light dirt, observe the
following procedure for all devices:
• Use compressed air to blow away large particles.
• Clean the device with a dry cotton swab.
• Use compressed air to blow away any remaining filament
left by the swab.
Heavy dirt
If the above procedure is not enough to clean your
instrument, follow one of the procedures below. Please
consult "Cleaning Instructions for this Instrument" on
page 55 for the procedure relevant for this instrument.
If you are unsure of how sensitive your device is to cleaning,
please contact the manufacturer or your sales distributor
