Setting Manual for Wi-Fi Printer Notice 1. This manual is applied for A831, GP-5890XIII etc. with Wi-Fi interface. 2. New generation Wi-Fi printers support the latest Wi-Fi technology with 3 working modes: AP mode (factory default setting), STA mode and APSTA mode.

Generally the wireless router is an AP, other wireless terminal (mobile phone, tablet and laptop etc) could connect with AP. When Wi-Fi printer is in AP mode, then other wireless terminal could connect with printer to set up network as below picture showing. 3. APSTA mode AP mode and STA mode are all in one. Printer could connect with other wireless terminal or router to realize printing. 4. Check Wi-Fi printer Current Mode 1) AP mode Connect printer power cable correctly and put paper roll into the printer, turn on the printer, you will find POWER indicator is on, ERROR indicator is off, function indicator is off.

Remark: How to check IP network segment: Click My Network PlacesWireless network connection Check wireless network Associated Wi-Fi: Connected Wireless network connection Support IP address: 192.168.2.167(for example). In above STA network protocol parameters setting, you can set 192.168.2. *** (except 1, 167, 255 and other numbers which used by other terminals already) 3) Restart printer, press Function button to get the test page to check if it is showing STA mode Refer to operation instruction in above introduction.
