Track Adjustment - Check
Checking Tension
• Drive the machine a short distance forward and
backwards with the tracks extended. On a flat solid
surface use the rear blade and the cutter wheel lift
the machine up so that the tracks do not contact the
ground. Be sure to put the blade down first to help
stabilize the machine.
• Measure distance from one of the center rollers to the
track. The distance should be between 3/8" and 1/2".
If the measurement result shows a dimension greater
or less than the specified range listed above adjust the
rubber track tension.
NOTE: Adjust after the first 10 hours of operation and
every 50 hours of operation.

1. Loosen the bolt and nut from cap (1).
2. Adjust the track cylinders accordingly
a) If the tension is too loose (the distance is greater than
1/2") add grease to push the end of the frame out, and
decrease the distance between the roller and track.
b) If the tension is too tight (the distance is less than
3/8") loosen the track tension grease fitting to release
pressure and increase the distance between the roller
and track.
Note: If you need to loosen grease fitting to ease pressure,
the grease fitting will purge excess grease. Clean
fitting accordingly to reduce dirt buildup.
RUBBER TRACKS ARE GREATLY AFFECTED BY
TEMPERATURE.
AS THE TEMPERATURE DECREASES THE TRACK
TENSION WILL INCREASE AND SERIOUS DAMAGE
MAY RESULT, CHECK TRACK TENSION OFTEN.
