Syslog Setting
Syslog Logging
The VMG sends a log to an external syslog server. Click this switch to enable or disable to enable
syslog logging. When the switch goes to the right

Select the syslog destination from the drop-down list box.
If you select Remote, the log(s) will be sent to a remote syslog server. If you select Local File, the
log(s) will be saved in a local file. If you want to send the log(s) to a remote syslog server and
save it in a local file, select Local File and Remote.
Note: When Remote Syslog is enabled, the recipient may receive personal
information of Individuals on its behalf. The types of personal information being
collected includes without limitation to the following: host name, host IP
address and MAC address.
Syslog Server
Enter the server name or IP address of the syslog server that will log the selected categories of
logs.
UDP Port
Enter the port number used by the syslog server.
Active Log
System Log
Select the categories of system logs that you want to record.
