6. Install the heat sink with CPU onto the socket
7. Screw the heat sink with torque screwdriver and following the sequence in figure
Note: Do not touch the pins on the CPU socket to avoid damaging them.
To install the CPU dummy, Align to DIMM slots and push down the CPU dummy.
To remove, reverse the steps above.
Notes:
1. If you are replacing a heat sink or a microprocessor, use a cleaning pad to wipe the thermal grease from the removed heat sink or the
microprocessor before installing a new microprocessor or a new heat sink. Dispose of the cleaning pad after all of the thermal grease is removed.
(When replacing the microprocessor, please apply the blue thermal grease PN: 01KP765. Don't apply the grey thermal grease PN: 41Y9292)
2. When handling the new heat sink, do not touch the thermal grease on the bottom of it.
3. To apply appropriate amount (about 0.65g) of thermal grease to the top of the newly installed microprocessor. Either too much or too less application
of thermal grease can cause a thermal problem due to imperfect contact with the components.
4. Reinstall the heat sink. See "INSTALLING OR REPLACING A CPU, HEAT SINK AND CPU DUMMY".
2.2.12 INSTALLING OR REPLACING A OCP CARD
Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".
To remove a OCP card, do the following:
Applying the thermal grease to the top of the microprocessor
