Here's How
Thread
tension
1.
Slide a piece of 1/8" elastic under the
3 to 7
foot, then up through the slot in Foot F
(satin stitch).
2.
Sew the elastic on the wrong side of the
fabric, pulling it gently to avoid sewing

3.
Pull on the elastic to gather the fabric
The Stitch and Its Uses
and bartack at both ends.
Use this stitch to replace bias tape casings
in such areas as wrists and waists.
In
children's clothing, this stitch is especially
helpful, because it reduces bulk.
