Registering a DECT Handset on the DXE96+
Before beginning the registration ensure that the DECT handset has a charged battery fitted and is
switched on.
You will need access to any keytelephone that has an LCD display and the DECT handset you want
to register.
The following instructions are separated between the operations to be performed at the
keytelephone (on the left side of the page) and the DECT handset (on the right side of the page)
At the display keytelephone
Enter Administrator Mode
At the Enter Command> prompt enter
3103 with the keypad
The display will show
USER:CUSTOMER1
Enter Command>3103
Press HOLD
The display will show
3103:DECT-PP ENTRY
Port(0:Auto)?
Enter the port number if you are
replacing a DECT handset that you have
previously deleted.
Or enter 0 to choose the next available
port on the system if you are adding a new
DECT handset.
If the port number already has a DECT handset
registered the display will show
3103:DECT-PP ENTRY
Already Subscribed.
Check the port number and if necessary
delete the registration (see page 5)
The display will show
3103:DECT-PP ENTRY
Port(0:Auto)? 17
Make a note of the port number for
reference.
Press HOLD
The display will show
3103:Port017
