5. Installing the Ink Cartridges

FILLING INK...
Never remove an ink cartridge or switch off the power while ink filling is in progress.
If an ink cartridge is removed or the power is switched off while ink filling is in progress, [CLEAN-
ING ERROR] appears on the display screen and ink filling is stopped. In that case, follow the
instructions described in the section "Cleaning error" in "If Error Message Appears" of User's
Manual to recover from the error, and then start from the beginning.

Insert ink cartridges into slots 1 to 8.
Never pull out the cartridges.
Make sure no discharged fluid is overflowing from the
drain bottle and press
When this screen appears, the ink-filling process is finished.
Insert into the slot of
the matching color.

Filling ink takes about
10 minutes.
