FAN HEATER FH-201
Please read and understand these instructions before commencing installation and leave
them with the user when installation is complete.

1. SAFETY

1. This appliance meets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements specified in
EN55104/95 with regard to interference with radio and TV sets.
2. Only connect the fan heater to a single-phase socket with a mains voltage as specified
on the rating plate.
3. Do not use the appliance in rooms less than 4m
4. Do not leave the appliance switched on whilst unattended. Ensure that the switch is in
OFF (O) position and the thermostat is set to minimum.
5. Always unplug the appliance when not in use. Do not use the cord to unplug the heater.
6. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, cushions, bedding, paper, clothes,
curtains etc at least 100cm away from the fan heater.
7. If wall mounted, do not fix to combustible material such as wooden, synthetic or plastic
surfaces.
8. Do not hang anything on or in front of the fan heater.
9. Keep the air inlet and outlet grilles free from objects at least 1m in front and 50cm behind
the heater.
10. Do not install the heater directly below a socket.
11. Do not let animals or children touch or play with the fan heater. Please note that the air
outlet gets very hot during operation (more than 80°C or 175° F).
12. Do not cover the fan heater. If covered there is a risk of overheating.
13. Do not use the fan heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or swimming
pool.
14. Do not operate the fan heater in explosive atmospheres or whilst using inflammable
solvents, varnish or glue.
15. If the cord of this appliance is damaged, discontinue use of this product and contact the
manufacturer for further instructions.

2. INSTALLATION

The appliance requires no installation; it should be used solely as a portable appliance. Please
note that portable appliances are not suitable for use in a bathroom.

3. OPERATION

Turn the thermostat knob in a clockwise direction until it reaches the maximum setting.
The fan heater has 3 power settings:
Summer service (ventilation only): turn the knob to the fan setting.
Heating at reduced power (1000W): turn the knob to setting I.
Heating at full power (2000W): turn the knob to setting II.
To switch the appliance off, turn the knob to setting O.
REGULATING THE THERMOSTAT:
When the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob in an anti-
clockwise direction just until the appliance switches off and not beyond. The temperature will then
be regulated and kept at a constant level by the thermostat.
The heater is fitted with a safety device which will switch off the heater in case of
accidental overheating (please see safety notes). To reset, disconnect the heater from the
power source for a few minutes to allow the unit to cool down. Make sure that any causes
of overheating such as obstructions to the grilles are removed and plug the appliance in
again.
