Chapter 6 Parameter Setup

This chapter describes the registration and setup method when connecting FL312 to the S
controller. This registration and setup is performed using the engineering tool.

6.1 Registration and Setup Procedure

The registration and setup procedure is as follows. In order to register and setup FL312,
you must create folders for the target system, station, and controller.
The FL312 registration and setup example is shown below. The V Series Engineering Tool
2 is used.

Start registration/setup
(1) Register FL312 module in hardware
configuration in station folder.
(2) Set FL312 parameters.
(3) Register the LAN to be used (FL-net in this
case) in system configuration.
(4) Register FL312 transmission block in FL-net
common memory. Also, register transmission
blocks of other FL-net modules.
(5) Set variable name to transmission data for
each transmission block.
Also specify the data to be received for each
FL-net module.
