Figure 4-8. VCPW-HD Screw Rotational Interlock. Push racking
device inward while racking in (clockwise) or racking out
(counter clockwise). Racking screw will not rotate unless inter-
lock is pushed in. When racking is complete apply rotational
pressure in the direction just racked when pulling out racking
device so rotational interlocker re-sets. The screw must be in a
diamond shape (see Figure 4-2).
5-4.3 SECONDARY TERMINAL CONNECTIONS
VCPW-HD circuit breakers are supplied with two 30-point pin type
secondary control terminals. A number of points are used for break-
er operation with a number of spare contacts for customer use. The
terminals are located at the upper left of the circuit breaker.
Before inserting the breaker into the cell, be sure that the cell sec-
ondary slider is in the front most position. (See Figure 5-9).
When the circuit breaker is moved from DISCONNECT to the TEST
position the secondary contacts connect. Immediately after moving
the breaker to the TEST position (while the motor is still running) pull
the secondary ring handles forward to ensure a full connection. The
indicator slot in the pull handle should be near the front edge of the
secondary shroud when fully connected.(See Figure 5-10) The sec-
ondary remains connected until the circuit breaker is returned to the
DISCONNECT position.

5-6. LEVERING MECHANISM
The purpose of the levering mechanism is to move the drawout
VCPW-HD circuit breaker between the TEST position and the
CONNECT position within the assembly structure. The levering
mechanism used to move the circuit breaker requires minimum
effort, and is an integral part of the circuit breaker assembly.
