Once fully inserted into the breaker cell (Test Position Slot –
Figure 34), release the slide handles and rotate key "KC" to the
"Locked" position. This will extend the locking pin for Lock #3
to lock the slide handles and the SEG&TD within the breaker
cell. At this point, key "KC" remains in Lock #3 until the 38kV
SEG&TD "Racking" operation is complete.
N
otee:
When inserting the 38 kV SEG&TD there are two available positions
(shown in Figure 34): "Disconnect" or "Test" . If in the "Disconnect" posi-
tion as shown in (Figure 35), the 38kV SEG&TD cannot be racked in. Follow
instructions in the description under (Figures 35) and reference (Figure 34)
showing the "TEST" position slot that will permit the 38kV SEG&TD to be
racked in.
Figure 35. VCPW-HD Shoot Bolt Handles must be pulled and
held inward when inserting breaker into the DISCONNECT and
TEST positions. Be sure the handles return to the outward posi-

will not be able to be racked in. Breaker cannot be racked when
in the DISCONNECT position.
